Caught Sounds

Rotterdam
2025

Caught Sounds is an interactive installation holding forgotten sounds of the city. Triggered by touch and pressure, sound slowly fills the space, issuing an invitation for the visitor to stop for a moment, and truly listen. The enclosed field recordings of a Rotterdam square capture mundane and everyday moments in the neighbourhood. So much can be discovered behind what falls into the idea of the norm. Made from hand woven fabric mimicking the motions of sound, it creates an opportunity for tactile, sonic exploration and play.

City  Noise

Rotterdam
2025

City Noise is an annotated listening tent playing sounds recorded in a square of Rotterdam. The visitor lies on the floor, reading annotations corresponding to the field recordings being played inside of it.
The small size creates an intimate experience, which is meant as an invitation to stop, and listen to the noise of the city.

Rotterdam
2024

The work showcases the sound of my neighbourhoodin a re-interpreted way. I recorded walks, bikes, moments of rest and transcibed the sounds. The audience is invited to touch and feel the word representing the sounds, while they think
about memories of their own neighbourhoods.

Map

Rotterdam
2024

The work shows an abstract map of the sounds of Rotterdam. I started mapping the city through sound, and translated this into a sewn annotation. I moved all around, using different
transportation methods, recording everything, listened back, took notes and stitched the sounds.

Scripts to Read the City

In collaboration with Mania Napiórkowska

Rotterdam
2024

The project began with a shared curiosity about how we might publish while being outdoors. We realized that urban spaces are already heavily scripted, full of rules and signs that guide our actions. We wanted to reclaim the idea of a script, but one that invites interpretation. Our aim was to imagine a different way of moving through space - led by curiosity and a playful
narrative.
The project consists of two interconnected parts: Device to Read the City – a tube for seeing and listening, and a publication with navigations.

We have shared this project through workshops, inviting others to join the game. These sessions focus on writing scripts for navigating the city in unexpected ways, encouraging new perspectives on everyday spaces.

The project was also selected to be part of the Manifest.io festival in Berlin and SPREAD Zine Fest in Groningen, where we had the opportunity to present and explore it with a wider audience.

Soundwalks

Rotterdam
2024

As part of the research surrounding listening and sound in public space, I have oraganized several workshops to invite people into my own practice, and issue an invitiation to develop one themselves.

During these workshops, I invited partecipants to follow different listening excercises and experiments, to show space from a different perspective.
